Dear friends and family,
Like a lot of you, I'm really not sure where 2025 went?!
I know that I did some stuff that I planned to do and I also didn't do some stuff that I planned to do.
Looking back, what stands out to me the most, isn't what I did but who I did it with.
When my mom died, the really huge piece of the puzzle that I gained was the importance of human connection. I love being with people, talking with people, laughing with people. If you know me, there's only so much texting or emailing that I like to do. I'd much rather get on the phone and hear your voice. Or, even better, see you in person! I can't hug you over FaceTime. ;-)
With that said, I have a comedy show coming up this Saturday night. If you live in the Van Nuys area, make your way out! I'm continuing to create new stand-up material and I'd love to hear your laugh in the audience!
Below is a stand-up bit that I wrote about grief. I really LOVE the crowd's reaction. Nothing makes me happier than that type of connection. :-)
Have a wonderful and safe holiday.
Love,
Joe
